AN INTERNATIONALLY renowned ballet company will perform in the region next year.
The Russian State Ballet, accompanied by the Orchestra of Siberia, will take centre stage at Darlington’s Civic Theatre in January.
Classic productions Coppelia, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker will be brought to life by the ensemble, made up of leading dancers and musicians from across Russia.
Directed by Sergei Bobrov, the ballets promise to showcase breath-taking physical ability while treating the timeless classics with reverence.
The company, comprised of more than 40 dancers and 30 musicians, will visit the North-East as part of its thirteenth visit to the UK.
Coppelia will be staged on Thursday, January 29, Swan Lake on Friday, January 30 and The Nutcracker from Saturday, January 31 until Sunday, February 1.
Tickets, ranging from £28 to £35, are now on sale.
