A BARBER is encouraging his clients to ditch the razor and sport a moustache this November as part of an international men's health campaign.
James Willcock, who runs the Sportsman Barber Shop in Fishburn, County Durham, is taking part in Movember for the second year running and is urging his customers to do the same.
The Movember campaign challenges men to grow a moustache for a month to spark conversation and raise funds for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.
It is a cause that means a great deal to Mr Willcock, as his brother, Michael, died of cancer at the age of 28.
He said: "In the past not enough was done to raise awareness of prostate and colon cancer, which is why I am do keen to support Movember.
"It is a fun thing to do and if by looking a bit silly for a month I can help it will definitely have been worth it."
Mr Willcock, 40, will shave for the final time tomorrow morning (Saturday, November 1) and hopes to raise at least £250 during the month.
Donations can be made at the barbers on Front Street.
