A leading leisure airline has announced it will be offering cheap flights to a host of winter wonderlands across Europe for North East residents this winter.
Low-cost airlines Jet2 and Jet2CityBreaks have announced they are offering seven different Christmas market destinations to holidaymakers, which are now on sale from seven UK bases including Newcastle International.
Meanwhile, the dedicated trips will allow customers to visit some of Europe’s best Christmas markets, such as in Berlin, Budapest, Cologne, Prague, Copenhagen and Vienna.
Adding to this, the operators are hosting scheduled flights and city breaks to Budapest, Prague and Krakow during the winter and as Christmas approaches.

The airline operator said these trips are perfect for a long-weekend or mid-week stay, and urged people to enjoy the lights and food of the Christmas markets this winter.

Berlin
A mini-series of flights and breaks from Birmingham between 25 November and 12 December, Leeds Bradford between 24 November and 11 December and Newcastle between 24 November and 11 December with two weekly services operating from each base.
Budapest
A mini-series of flights and breaks with two weekly services operating from East Midlands between 25 November and 12 December and Newcastle between 24 November and 11 December. In addition, two weekly services will operate from Birmingham and Leeds Bradford and four weekly services from Manchester during the winter.
Cologne
A mini-series of flights and breaks operating from Leeds Bradford between 25 November and 5 December, Manchester between 25 November and 19 December and Newcastle between 5 December and 12 December with two weekly services from each base.
Prague
A mini-series of flights and breaks means two weekly services operating from Belfast International between 2 December and 19 December and East Midlands between 1 December and 18 December. This is on top on four weekly services from Birmingham and Manchester and two weekly services from Glasgow, Leeds Bradford and Newcastle.
Copenhagen
A mini-series of flights and breaks means two weekly services operating from Newcastle between 25 November and 12 December.
Vienna
A mini-series of flights and breaks offers two weekly services operating from Birmingham between 25 November and 19 December, Leeds Bradford between 24 November and 18 December, Manchester between 25 November and 19 December and Newcastle between 24 November and 18 December.
Krakow
Two weekly services operating from Manchester and Newcastle between 28 November and 26 December.
