An investigation has been launched after waste was fly-tipped in a County Durham back lane.
The rubbish, including plastic trays, a suitcase, and white goods, was found at the rear of Broom Lane in Ushaw Moor, County Durham on Tuesday (October 10).
Council neighbourhood wardens, who deal with issues including illegally dumped waste, graffiti, littering and stray dogs, posted an image of the waste on social media.

The picture shows the rubbish cordoned off with tape.
They have since launched an investigation into the incident and are keen to speak to anyone who may have information which could assist their enquiries.
A spokesperson said: “An investigation has been launched after the waste had been fly-tipped at the rear of Broom Lane in Ushaw Moor.
“Neighbourhood Wardens are keen to speak to anyone that has any information or has witnessed this event take place. If you have any information that will assist us with our investigation, please call 03000 260000 quoting reference 1043388.”
