One person has been taken to hospital following a crash on a County Durham road earlier this morning.
A North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) spokesperson said they received a report of a crash on the A1 Southbound near Coxhoe in Durham at 8.57am.
They confirmed one person was treated and discharged at the scene, while another was taken to University Hospital of North Durham.
The spokesperson said: “We received a call at 8.57am this morning (Tuesday, November 28) to reports of a road traffic incident on the A1 southbound junction 61, near Coxhoe in Durham.

"We dispatched an ambulance crew and a clinical team leader to the scene.
"One patient was treated and discharged on-scene, and another was taken to the University Hospital of North Durham for further treatment.”
The Northern Echo have contacted Durham Police for more information on the incident.
