A North East bookshop is looking for a home for one of their rarer finds when sorting through sacks of donations - a braille Chinese cookery book.
Every day the Lions Charity Bookshop, on Blackwellgate Street in Darlington town centre, is swamped with donations from the people of the town.
The volunteers are regularly called out to homes to pick up hundreds of books to sell for charity in the second-hand bookshop.
During one of these searches, the team found a A4 sized book and wondered what it could be.
It turned out to be a Chinese cookery book entirely in braille, printed by the Scottish Braille Press.
The team of volunteers are hoping to find the rare book a new home and they are happy to send the book out to anyone who would like it.
Acting chairman Pat De Martino explained that they always like books to find a new home.
She said: "I love sorting through the books, you never know what you might find.
"We get big bags or boxes of books every day. We are happy to go out and collect books ourselves too.
"If books don't sell they go to the World of Books. Everything is recycled.
"In this one box we found an A4 sized book, which was unusual.
"We got it out and found that it was a Chinese cookery book in braille.
"We want to send it to someone who would put it to good use."

The volunteers donate all of the money raised to a variety of charities and good causes, 90 per cent in the local area.
In the last financial year they managed to raise £17,000 through book sales and donations.
They are planning on donating a good amount of the money raised this year to St Teresa's Hospice.
